Animal Protection
The SPCA is guided by the Animal Protection Act of 1962 in Namibia.
We are the only organisation which Inspectors have been authorized to uphold the law and confiscate animals.

The SPCA Windhoek has three certified Inspectors that can intervene in animal neglect, abuse, and cruelty cases. At our branch levels there are varying levels of expertise in the area, and many branch representatives work closely with the local law enforcement to intervene in the face of animal cruelty.

Being a small team with limited resources and many complaints each day we aim to attend all relevant complaints whilst prioritizing emergencies.
